NEW Rick Ross mixtape: "The Timeless Audemars Piguet Collection"

Rick Ross just released a new mixtape to hold you over until his Teflon Don album drops in a few months. Not too much new music, more features and remixes. Still good music. Enjoy.

Rick Ross' Babymama Suing 50 Cent Over Leaked Sex Tape

50 Cent was hit with a lawsuit yesterday over the sex tape he released of Ric k Ross' babymama and some random guy. Babymama, aka Lastonia Leviston says he distributed the tape without her consent and that it has since caused her emotional distress. I'll keep my comments to myself because I know her sister. But I will say, I hope he gets that metallic suit sued off his ass! TEAM RICKY!!

Yung Berg Addresses Robbery Rumors

TMZ had reported this morning that Yung Berg got robbed and pistol whipped, but Berg says its not true.

Well, he looks aight. Still a lame to the fifth power.

Jay-Z Under Federal Investigation

Jay-Z's relationship with the New York governor is being put under the microscope by the Federal government.

Governor Paterson recently selected Aqueduct Entertainment Group, which is affiliated with theNew York rapper, to run a multi-billion dollar racino at Aqueduct Racetrack, but the feds want a closer look at the secret selection process.

AEG initially ranked last amongst bidders for the contract, and Jay-Z, who was always interested in the project, was working with Vegas-based Wynn Resorts Limited. Wynn appeared to be in the front running for the contract, but eventually backed out citing the long review process and its murky rules as the reasons.

A source reportedly told New Post, "Paterson directly told Wynn he needed to have a minority partner, so he went and got Jay-Z. But when Wynn pulled out, Jay-Z was without a home. AEG went and grabbed up Jay-Z after his deal with Steve fell through."

The implication is that whichever company courted Jay-Zwould win favor with the governor, however AEG denies such, instead saying they chose Jay because of his deep connection to New York.

"Give Jay-Z's superstardom and his long and deep connection to New York, the partners thought he could bring a unique perspective to shaping a facility that would truly be an entertainment destination," explained AEG spokesman Jonathan Rosen.

"The partners were looking to bring in someone who could bring marketing and community advice to the team."

A spokesperson for the governor also discounted such claims stating, "There is absolutely no relationship between Governor Paterson's friendship with Jay-Z and the choice of AEG."

L.A. Reid Officially Signs Shyne in Belize

So how are they gonna get him back in the states? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see Shyne get signed, not necessarily by Def Jam, but happy none the less. And he looks totally different. The way he's dressed, how he walks, everything. I'm very anxious to hear his new music.

Lil Wayne's New Teeth

Is it just me or am I not seeing the difference?

NEW Young Jeezy - "Trap or Die 2 Reloaded"

I guess Jeezy got the message...the feedback on the original Trap or Die 2 was horrible. Many weren't feelin' it and expected more from the Atlanta rapper, so he went back in and "reloaded" it. MUCH BETTER in my opinion. This version goes breakfast ham. I fux with Jeezy so my opinion is highly biased, but I love the track. Check it out for yourself.

Gorilla Zoe Fights Security In Hilton Head, SC

Bahahahaha!!! Gorilla Zoe went ratchet on security after they tried to stop them from poppin' bottles on stage.

Varsity - "Swagger of a College Kid"

New music from Grand Hustle group Varsity titled, "Swagger of a College Kid". Beat is stupid.

Sade Hits #1 With 502,000 Copies Sold

Sade's "Soldier of Love" debuted on the charts at #1 with 502,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen Soundscan. This is her most successful album to date. I think its funny that the older artists are beating our generation's leaders to a bloody pulp. Think about it: Whitney Houston, Susan Boyle, Lionel Ritchie and now Sade all had higher record sales in the last year than 90% of the younger artists. Time for some substance maybe?

NEW Warren Jae Freestyle - "Smile With My Heart"

Here's a new freestyle track from one of my favorite Carolina artists, and future XXL Freshman (yep, that's my prediction). Shouts to Randy Roper for dropping this in my inbox!

Mathew Knowles' Alleged Love Child

Did Alexsandra Wright have Beyonce's little brother? There are a lot of questions that need to be answered, and they might be answered soon as Alexsandra Wright's lawyers are in court today. They are trying to get Mathew Knowles to pay child support for Alexsandra Wright's child. As of now all we know is this is the photo of the alleged love child of Mathew Knowles, aka Beyonce's daddy, aka Joe Jackson the third. And its quite funny that Knowles has yet to take a DNA test.

Rick Ross feat. Birdman - "Addicted to Money" (Video)

These two have been doing a series of low-budget videos together lately. Here's the next installment, I guess this is a preview. enjoy.

Side note: Ricky I'm patiently awaiting your next album. I don't care what they say, I still love you, and you're one of the greatest. Thanks.

Dr. Dre Suing Death Row

Dr. Dre filed a lawsuit yesterday in Los Angeles against Death Row Records for unpaid royalties from his legendary 1992 album The Chronic. Dre claims that he hasn't received any royalties since he departed from Death Row in '96, and that they have since then re-released music from the album without his consent.

I know he can't be surprised. Snoop better check his records too, I'm sure he's missing some pennies from the piggy bank.

President's Day: Obama's Top 10 Accomplishments Thus Far

Don't let the racist agenda of the Conservatives and Fox News jade your opinion of our President's accomplishments. Yes, he has MUCH more to do, but in 2009 he got off to an excellent start.

1. He moved quicker than any other President in US history to tackle the nation's horrific economic downfall.

2. Quickly passed the legislation aiding women who face discrimination in the workplace

3. Made history by choosing the first Latina justice to the US Supreme Court, Judge Sotomayor

4. Won major weapons system acquisition form, which is a rare bipartisan achievement

5. Incorporated the Cash for Clunkers program. Although it was confusing, it did stimulate auto sales again.

6. Moved swiftly on expanding our green technology; creating more energy conservation options

7. Extended the Children's Health Insurance Program.

8. Issued tax breaks for individuals struggling to pay their mortgage.

9. Expanded veteran's health benefits

10. Coming further than any other president in getting Health Reform passed

Now some of you Obama haters may look at a few of the items on the list and say they were bad things because he's spending too much money. You gotta give in order to receive. Considering what he walked into office having to deal with, I'd say he's doing well.

Alicia Keys All-Star Halftime Performance

She sounded a bit off key to me...plus I thought it was random to perform Empire State of Mind in Dallas.

Bobby Valentino Gets Exposed by Former Jumpoffs

So one of those chicks in the pic was pissed at how Bobby V treated her (could she really blame him though?) so sent the exclusive shots to Freddy O to post.

How embarassing, funny thing is, none of them will stop the groupie foolery. Not one rapper is gonna learn from shit like this. Why would you take pictures first off. One of the top 5 hood rules is to NEVER keep any evidence. Dumb ass.

To see more of the XXX pics, go here --->>> Bobby V Jumpoff Pics

Video: Rihanna - "Rude Boy"

Look at Rihanna shakin' it! Get it girl! This is the Rihanna I like. Get back to those island roots.

Soulja Boy feat...Tony Yayo (LOL) - "King of Pyrex"

Wow this was a random collab, but seems to have been a good move for both parties. Tony Yayo obviously did it for marketing, at the same time I think he inspired Soulja Boy to step his bars up, cuz lil homie is actually spittin'.

E-40 Dropping Two Albums In One Day!

Hallelujah!! My favorite west coast rapper is coming back with not one, but two albums in the same day! 40 Water is set to drop Revenue Retrievin’ Night Shift and Revenue Retrievin’ Day Shift on March 30th.

I'm pumped.

Lil Wayne's Sentencing Rescheduled to March 2

You jerk!! Had me all sad last night that you were going to jail! WASTED EMOTIONS!!

CNN reported this morning that Lil Wayne's sentencing was postponed to March 2nd because he has to have dental surgery. So I wonder if he's gonna get the diamonds removed? I think that's a requirement for jail right?

Yo Gotti Arrested for Drug Possession

Memphis Rapper Yo Gotti is facing charges of drug possession inTexas. The charges come after the rapper's tour bus was pulled over and searched last week by border patrol in Texas. The authorities arrested him and his entourage after their canines located narcotics on the vehicle.

Video of the arrest hit the net last Thursday (February 4). During the footage an officer is seen telling the group, "Our canine alerted [us] to the presence of narcotics or concealed humans. I know there are not concealed humans in there, so either someone has some marijuana, cocaine, or any type of illegal narcotic, go on and let us know right now and it will make it a lot easier on you guys. I'm talking about even residue. None of you guys smoke? I shouldn't find a seed in there, correct?"

LOL. Why they always gotta do us like that?

BEST SUPERBOWL COMMERCIAL! Doritos: Kid Slaps Man in the Face

I only tuned in to the Superbowl last night to see the commercials, yep. The Vikings didn't make it so I could care less who won. So I was pretty disappointed in the ads until this lil dude showed up! I was dyin' like I'm sure the rest of America was when they aired this commercial last night! That little boy slapped the taste out of his mouth!

Good job Doritos!

Lil Wayne's Final Video Shoot

Before heading to jail for a year, Lil Wayne was present for Tyga's video shoot for "I'm On It". Also featured are Drake and Juelz Santana. (ya'll see Juelz gettin' a little belly?)

Weezy is scheduled to turn himself in tomorrow.

Alicia Keys & Beyonce Shooting Video

The two most powerful women in urban music are currently shooting the video for "Put It In a Love Song" in Brazil. The dynamic duet is featured on A Key's current album The Element of Freedom. While this is a powerhouse combo, the track didn't live up to what it should have. Sorry.

O Lets Do It REMIX (Waka feat. Diddy, Rick Ross, and Gucci Mane)

The remix everyone's been talking about the last few days. And yes, Diddy REALLY DID kill it.

O Lets Do It REMIX feat. Diddy, Rick Ross, and Gucci Mane

Shawty Lo - "A Town" feat. Ludacris, The Dream, & Gucci Mane (Official Video)

They've been releasing sneak peeks of the new ATL banger for weeks, now its finally here. If you're not from Atlanta you might not appreciate it as much, but the track goes hard.

Waka Details Shooting, But Somethin' Ain't Right...

Look at how mumbly and shaky Waka is. This nucca wouldn't stop running his mouth; talking about things that were totally irrevelant. Maybe he's nervous so he's rumbling...

But you catch that fake ass "oh my arm is sore" thing he did? Somethin' ain't right man...

NEW INTERVIEW!! Brisco Explains So Icey Diss, Robbery Incident

Tasha: You’ve been an important element of Florida’s hip hop scene for a while now. Do you feel that you are still underrated?

Brisco: Very much so. Hip hop has been over-saturated. A lot of this ain’t real out here.

Tasha: Recently it seems that the whole “goon” movement has become watered down due to fakes and phonies. Explain what a goon really is and how you feel about rappers throwing that word around.

Brisco: Goon is a movement. Just like when Pac started the thug movement. It’s just a way of life; I do what I gotta do to feed my family. But I feel like I started the whole goon movement. I’ve been saying it since I was 12. As far as the other rappers, they just using it, I don’t take offense to it.

Tasha: Poe Boy has been a strong force in Florida for a long time, but with the recent success of DJ Khaled’s movement, do you feel that Poe Boy has been overshadowed?

Brisco: Yeah I kinda do. Poe Boy brought that feeling, you know? They brought that family feeling. It’s not the same as what Poe Boy brought. We’ve been a unit, always been like family.

Tasha: What’s your relationship with DJ Khaled?

Brisco: I don’t know, I feel like he can help a little more. I’ve made my contribution to him so I feel like he can help me a little more. But it is what it is.

Tasha: You recently released a track called “Waka Blocka” dissing Waka Flocka, Gucci Mane, OJ the Juiceman, and Yung Berg. First off, what made you go after Waka?

Brisco: Gucci made a track called Heavy where he mentioned my name. He said “Wish a nigga would run up on me like I’m Brisco”. He dissed me while I was down. At the time I was dealing with issues in the streets, so that was my response. This was just all for the sport of it but I’m gonna go at the whole camp. I was in Atlanta when I recorded that track.

Tasha: You dissed him right after he was shot. You didn’t think that was inappropriate?

"All I Do Is Win"

Lil Wayne Added to the We Are the World Remake

Haha, welcome to 2010!! My have the times changed. Who would've thought that a rapper that frequently discusses drug use and killing family members would be apart of such a project?

Claudette Ortiz Speaks Out About Robbie's Intervention

In a recent interview with Imortlock, Claudette Ortiz speaks out after the A&E Intervention episode featuring her ex-lover and former fellow City group member Robbie was featured.

Sheis…: What are your overall thoughts about the A&E special?

Claudette Ortiz: I didn’t watch it when it came on but then all this stuff started popping up on the internet & when I decided that I was going to do this interview I had to watch it… I’m being used a scapegoat for his failure… he didn’t appreciate me, City High… I saw him on there talking about the red carpet… he didn’t appreciate the red carpet… I’m 18 years old living my dream, we were nominated for a Grammy & here is Robbie drunk… drunker than I’ve ever seen, I’m hoping we don’t win because I didn’t think he could control himself if we had to go on stage an accept the award. To be ridiculed for something you did is one thing, but for lies & non-sense? That’s not going to work…

Sheis…: What do you feel is the biggest misconception &/or lie?

Claudette Ortiz: That the group broke up because of me or my actions. After I had my first son & it was time to start recording the second album, I said to myself I couldn’t do it… I couldn’t be in this group with him anymore… that would mean spending time around him, my son would be around him… & I didn’t want that. So I spoke with my manager & Ryan… it was a hard decision to make but I prayed about it. I left the group in June 2003… he knows my reasons… he wanted to stay in the group… maybe that’s why he blames me. But if me leaving because I didn’t want to deal with the nightmare anymore is a bad thing, then I’ll take that. I’d been dealing with it since 1998 all the way through to 2003. I don’t know many solid women that can deal with that for so long… I even initially took the blame… I remember doing the Wendy Williams show & accepting all responsibility for the breakup because I didn’t want to talk about the truth… I don’t think he expected me to say anything… but I’m not that little girl anymore. I’m not weak, I’m a grown woman. I have children, got married, divorced… you have to stand up for yourself & that’s what I’m doing.

Go to http://www.lmortlock.blogspot.com/ to read the full interview.

NEW B.o.B. Mixtape "May 25th"

Bobby Ray's debut album, "The Adventures of Bobby Ray" will arrive in May, but this is guaranteed to hold you over until then. Good work my brother.

Black History Month: Time To Let The Ignorance Go

As we begin to celebrate Black History Month 2010, let us all reflect on our past and the sacrifices our ancestors made in order for us to have what we have today. We are richly blessed because they gave up their lives to ensure that we were granted equal opportunities. The racists kept us down for centuries because they feared the color of our skin; that we might dominate what they felt was theirs, and they are still doing it today. Racism is very much alive in 2010, especially now with a black president. They are fighting to TRY and keep us down because THEY FEAR US. Unfortunately for them, the world is much more liberal now than it used to be and there's no way they'll ever be able to keep us down. The sacrifices of our ancestors will never die; but don't let the ignorance in your own mind shade how far we've come.

Next time you want to kill one of your own, feed toxins to your community, or drop out of school, do one thing for me...LOOK ABOVE; instill that picture in your mind as a reminder of how far we've come as a people. Don't let the tragedy and sacrifices of our ancestors go in vain. In 2010, let's please let the ignorance go.

MJ's Children Speak at Grammys

For those that saw it, I know we were all probably thinking the same thing: Joe Jackson's gonna beat that ass after the awards for messin' up that rehearsed acceptance speech! But we gotta cut them some slack, they're just kids, even though that acceptance speech was God awful.

Pink's Spectacular Grammy Performance

Hands down, the performance of the night went to Pink. Her acrobatic dedication left the entire crowd in awe. I loves me some Pink and I appreciate her willingness to step outside of the box. Besides Lady Gaga, every other performance was weak.

There's only one problem I have with this performance. It's recycled. When you do something like this, it can only be done once because its so unique. Unfortunately, she did the same thing at the MTV VMA's a few months ago. Oh well, she's still greatness. Peep her stellar Grammys performance.
