Suge Knight Robbed Yukmouth?

TMZ.com is reporting that police are seeking former Death Row CEO Suge Knight for allegedly robbing and assaulting popular west coast rapper, Yukmouth.

Police were called to a supermarket in San Fernando Valley, CA after Suge Knight and his entourage allegedly rushed Yukmouth. This apparently happened around 10pm last night.

Knight and his entourage allegedly stole over $92,000 worth of jewelry from Yukmouth.

Further details have yet to be released, I'll keep you posted.

Monica Explains Why She Broke Up With Rocko

Monica recently spoke with Vibe magazine about why she addressed her break up with Rocko on Twitter and why they split:

“I chose Twitter as a forum to say what I felt at that time because there was no other way for me to say it once,” Monica told VIBE. “Had I been on radio, had I been interviewed, it would’ve been over and over again. That was just a quick way to say, ‘I know what’s taking place on the Web sites. I want you to know that I’m okay.’ But it really is a private matter. You just lose the privacy once you become an artist. So I’m not upset about it in any way.”

Monica continues explaining to Vibe Magazine:

“It was a situation I didn’t ask to be in , so to speak. Once something is put up on a Web site and things about your personal life are spread all around, it’s unfortunate,” said Monica. “I don’t even know specifically who they spoke to, but I do know that I never felt so… I guess the word would be confused more than anything else. If you go to sleep and you wake up and you see something for the first time, it’s a little scary, you know. I’m too grown now to go investigating leads. The reality is that I have to play my position as their mom and do what it is that’s best for me."

Gucci Speaks for the First Time From Behind Bars

The Associated Press recently interviewed Gucci Mane while in jail. Gucci discusses his jail life, his upcoming release, and his future plans for his career.

AP: You were featured on Carey's "Obsessed" and had the hit "Break Up" with Mario and Sean Garrett, as well as the single "Spotlight" featuring Usher. How did it feel to finally breakthrough?

Gucci Mane: It felt good to finally be noticed and get some kind of acclaim. This is by far the most praise I've ever gotten. It feels like all my hard work is getting recognized. It makes me work even harder.

AP: How did it feel to have your album top the charts while in jail?

Gucci Mane: Excited. I still had a release party, though I wasn't there. But the day after was the toughest because I just wanted to get out there to see my fans. ... Getting on stage, it's nothing like it.

AP: Gucci, you've been to jail on a few other occasions. How can you avoid being sent back again?

Gucci Mane: Before I make an action, think about the consequences. ... Any decision I make is a heavy decision. I got a lot of people who depend on me. Everything I do has so much weight on it.

AP: How do the other inmates treat you in jail?

Gucci Mane: It's a great response. ... So I try to take a couple of these young guys under my wing and tell them what I've learned, because you can't teach nobody if you don't know anything.

AP: Rappers who have been jailed in the past like Tupac has said it was difficult to jot down lyrics while in prison. How has writing songs been for you?

Gucci Mane: Unfortunately I've been to jail a couple times. Anytime I come in it's difficult to make music, write songs. This time, I have a peace within me. I've been so excited to get out. I've written about 50 to 60 songs.

I knew it!! I predicted it months ago, even blogged about the obvious interest that Lil Wayne had in signing Lloyd to Young Money. Lloyd finally spoke on the situation after revealing that he just signed to Interscope:


"Baby and Wayne were definitely the first people to reach out to me. I talked to them about a deal. That's who I thought I'd end up with in my heart. The problem is that Young Money/Cash Money is exclusive to Universal Motown. As you and I know, that's where I did my last two albums. I wasn't excited about going back."

Waka Details the CTE Fight and Responds to Slick Pulla

Waka details the day that he and his fellow comrads got into an altercation with CTE members. He sure is talkin' a lot of shit, I don't understand why he's adding fuel to the fire, especially when his captain is due to be released from jail in two weeks.

Gucci's Coming Home...Will There Be Peace or a Massacre?

Gucci will be released at the end of the month, and with all of the recent drama surrounding their ongoing feud with CTE, Waka's recent shooting, and their management team crumbling, I'm anxious to see what kind of episodes will take place.

The general of 1017/Brick Squad has missed out on all of the recent drama that's taken place in the last few months. Waka got shot, then got shot at again last week...his squad got into an altercation with CTE crew members last week, and since then Waka's been droppin' disses every 5 mins. To make matters worse, his manager Debra is facing all sorts of lawsuits and scrutiny because she's taken money for shows he's obviously not been able to make. Not to mention his booking manager, Johnnie is being closely watched by the IRS for funny business.

The funny thing is, right when he went into prison, he and Jeezy ended their long time beef. That was supposed to be the end of the CTE/1017 feud. Then as soon as he gets locked up, drama breaks out. Your co-captain is out here saying FUCK JEEZY and this was supposed to be a dead situation. So what happens now?

We have yet to hear a response from Jeezy after all of the recent activity. I wonder if he's waiting for Gucci to come out...and if he is, then what? I am expecting drama to the worst degree upon Gucci's release, but it's gonna go one or two ways: Either Gucci puts his camp in check and tells everyone to settle down, or he's gonna come out, guns blazing ready to add fuel to the fire. Lawd, let's all start praying now.

So I guess the rumors are true! Looks like Waka took a beating the other day as previously reported. In case you missed it, Waka Flocka and his crew got into an altercation with a few members of Jeezy's crew in a store in Atlanta. Ignorant knuckleheads even shot a few rounds inside the store! Don't know exactly who was shooting, and I'm still not sure what started it. I think its safe to say that the CTE/1017 war isn't quite over yet despite Jeezy and Gucci settling their differences.

Lil Wayne Headed to Jail Today

Lil Wayne appeared before a judge this morning and plead guilty to gun possession. He is assumed to be spending a year behind bars. Wayne will be at Rikers Island in NYC.

I wish Weezy the best. It's gonna be weird not seeing or hearing from him for a whole year, but if we endured months without T.I., this should be a breeze.

Guru Hospitalized; In a Coma After Going Into Cardiac Arrest

Legendary rap icon, Guru (1/2 of Gangstarr) has been hospitalized after going into cardiac arrest. The 44-year-old rap legend's sister says that he suffered a heart attack over the weekend and is now in a coma.
