The way things are looking, I don't know if we're going to ever see Boosie again. On top of his current 4 year sentence he's serving for drug and gun possession, now he's been indicted on murder charges and faces the death penalty. I'm sure ya'll already heard about that, but worse news came recently after the DA released a statement saying they believe he's tied to 5 other murders. Ugh, Lawd. All the shit they're trying to pin on him doesn't look good for Boosie fans. So let's break this down:
First Degree Murder of Terry Boyd
Three counts Posession With Intent to Distribute Narcotics (Schedule II-Codeine, Schedule I-Ecstacy and Schedule I-Marijuana
Three counts Conspiracy to commit Posession With Intent to Distribute Narcotics
Two counts Conspiracy to Introduce Contraband into a Penal Institution
Now this is what he's currently facing. So add the next 5 murders they're trying to pin on him, its gonna be ugly. My prayers are with his children.

Definitely doesn't compare to Burrprint, but its a Gucci mixtape. There's new joints on there, some are decent, but overall this mixtape sounds like it was put together in a weekend.

Small World, birth name Sheldon Bullock, is the latest addition to Ludacris' Disturbing Tha Peace (DTP) Records, and the new face of North Carolina hip-hop. And according to Small World, DTP and other artists from around the Triangle, North Carolina is about to explode onto the national music map.
States such as New York, California, Georgia, Virginia and Missouri have long histories (in rap years, anyway) of producing big-time rappers. But besides Greenville's Petey Pablo and the Durham-based, kind-of-underground Little Brother, there hasn't been much hip-hop success in the Tar Heel State.
Ludacris -- aka Chris Bridges -- met Small World last year after hearing about the 25-year-old rapper from Free, the former co-host of Black Entertainment Television's video countdown show "106 & Park." He signed the Sanderson High School alum to a recording contract.
"Small World is different than anybody else out there. You really can't compare him to anybody else because of his style," Ludacris says. "He's really going to put North Carolina on the map. He's really putting the state out there."
Small World has hustle and flow that seem to match Luda's cadence and hark back to the older school days of rap when hip-hop was based on delivery, not beats. "It's hard coming out of here," Small World says. "They don't really respect North Carolina for its talent. And I can't say why."
DTP CEO Jeff Dixon, who runs the company with Ludacris, says the Tar Heel State has plenty of talent waiting to be exposed. "We scouted North Carolina, and we found Small World and his [group, Norfclik]," says Dixon, who thinks the Raleigh-Durham area has the talent and grittiness to become the next hip-hop mecca, as Atlanta was 15 years ago. "North Carolina doesn't really have its own sound yet. But there are a lot of talented people here."
"North Carolina is untouched, a gold mine ready to get dug up." Also hoping to make it big from North Carolina, Small World's homeboy Derrick "Brolic" Chavez will be one of the next artists DTP will produce. Also a Henderson native and Sanderson alum, Brolic says North Carolina is hot and just waiting to show the world. His album will be released next year. "We love North Carolina and we really think that we should be heard right now," said Brolic as he stood on the side of Raleigh Boulevard during the unlawful portion of the shoot. "Nobody comes to North Carolina to look for talent. But we can make that better for us. There are so many cats out here doing their thing, by us coming out, we're just bringing it to the forefront."

After an unfinished version of "Under Pressure" feat. Jay-Z leaked online yesterday, Dre responded saying:
“I want to set the record straight for everybody who’s been waiting to hear my music. The song that’s on the internet is an incomplete song that I’m still working on. When it’s ready, you’ll be hearing it from me.”
- Dr. Dre
And in case you missed the leak...

“I look at some other videos. i’m not naming names, because I don’t want that to be mentioned. There is the thing with sexuality. I’m naked for 13 seconds, and these people are naked the whole time and gyrating and saying come “lick on my lollipop,” and “suck on my cinnamon roll,” and, you know, suggesting sex. People are uncomfortable with sexuality that’s not for male consumption. could be ‘cause I did it in public too. Do you think people would have been complaining if I had on high-heel shoes?” (VIBE.com)

Drake's "Better Than Good Enough" MTV Documentary (Part 1)
In case you missed the documentary last night on MTV, have no fear. MTV has all 4 parts on their site. They ain't paying me enough to clutter my site with all that shit, so here's part 1. It was good I must say. I'll admit that I have gained more respect for Lite Brite after watching. And congrats to Drake, his album sold 446K its first week. I expect that this time next week he'll probably be up to at least 600K.

Video: Paul Wall - "Patron"
I don't know what happened to Paul Wall, but this shit is weak. It's funny, all of the Swishahouse boys were doing well before they all got deals. They were selling over a million copies of mixtapes, albums and singles when they were independent. I guess deals aren't for everyone.

Blog: Why I'm Not a Manager
In the last year I’ve received several inquiries about becoming an artist’s manager. With all that I currently do with artists, management seems to be the next title I would add to my bio. I enjoy helping artists gain exposure and put together successful promotional campaigns. I appreciate good talent and it brings me joy to help them get to the next level. More than anything, I’m happy to be able to provide an outlet for artists to be heard. Thus far, the artists and DJs that I have worked with have all been great experiences. I have been able to help them achieve goals and in the process, we have learned a variety of things from each other. Quite simply, I have wonderful relationships with the artists that I work with. By me helping and them actually seeing positive results, we’ve built a strong trust. They trust that I am looking out for their best interests, and I trust them to do what they do best and stay consistent in the music they produce. Whatever it is that’s being done on my end has worked, and it’s worked without a title. After receiving so many requests to be a manager, I sat back and thought, why not? I practically manage anyway. But the role of a manager is much more detailed and complicated than the title projects it to be.
Let’s break this down for a minute. Being a manager is serious business. I don’t think many people really understand what it takes to be a real and effective manager. It’s more than just a title that makes you feel or sound like you’re a part of something. If you are a manager, you are MANAGING SOMEONE’S ENTIRE CAREER. Do ya’ll really understand that? Being a manager (well, at least a good one) is a full time job. There’s so much to do as a manager that there’s no way to you can operate on a part time schedule. You as the manager are responsible for executing a successful career for your artist. The artist’s job is to maintain and build communication with fans and the music community, of course all while consistently making good music. You are their backbone. You have to search for opportunities that will help your artist gain exposure. You are the one that ensures that their music is being heard. You are responsible for keeping your artist visible to the public. Booking shows, scheduling appearances, interviews, features, studio sessions, photo/video shoots, and promoting (the right way) are all a part of your managerial duties. If you can’t handle that plus more, you need to bring on someone to assist you. There’s no room to fall short as a manager. 70% of the artist’s that fail to achieve their goals isn’t because of themselves; it’s because of their management.
I think many managers also forget that they serve as their artists’ primary representation. You gotta be sharp, consistent, and hard-working. If you truly believe in your artist, you’re gonna go hard in the paint. It should come natural for you to be your best if you believe you have gold. If you don’t have that feeling, then you need to consider representing someone else, or sitcho ass down and stop wasting that artist’s time. Same goes for the artist. Be careful in who you choose to represent you. Remember that your manager is a reflection of YOU. If they’re not gonna be an effective entity putting in 100%, they’re only taking away from your movement and hindering your progress. Also as a manager, be mindful that this is an investment for you as well, not just the artist. If you're investing time and money into something, you want to see your return, correct? Then get to work.
There are so many hidden jewels that have yet to be discovered. When I come across one, it’s like a natural instinct for me to reach out and help in any way that I can. I could possibly fall in a variety of job categories, but the role that I’ve been playing in my artists’ careers has been productive…without a formal title. It’s not important to define what it is that I do, just refer to me as an Indie Music Ambassador. I’m here to help in anyway that I can. Maybe one day I’ll actually consider being a manager, but when that day comes please believe my other responsibilities will be narrowed. I take being a manager very seriously, and if I know that I won’t be the very best and be able to commit real time, I won’t even bother. I refuse to be responsible for anything other than success for an artist. If I fall short then failure comes into play, and that’s not an option.
